ITALIAN CLASSES IN CORK

Our Italian for Beginners and Intermediate Conversation classes are currently taking place in Cork on Thursday mornings. 

Students with no or very little prior knowledge of Italian are invited to take the Beginners class. During this course, you will learn the basics of Italian grammar and build a basic vocabulary that will enable you to have a simple conversation. It will also allow you to grasp a basic understanding of the language. 

In the Intermediate Conversation Class, spoken production and interaction are addressed with a unique approach. A brand-new topic is covered each week, and participants are given keywords and phrases ahead of time to build up their vocabulary. The course is especially suitable for students with some language experience, but pre-registration is required, as places are limited. Each class lasts 60 minutes, and self-work is required between classes. 

A new 4-week flash summer course is coming in May 2025: If you are planning on going to Italy for holidays with friends or with your family and you want to have a grasp of the language before you board that plane, we will be offering a "4-week flash summer course" that will double your fun and enrich your holiday experience. 

In addition to these classes, we also collaborate with Italian companies operating in Cork to provide business Italian for their staff. Arrangements can be made for in-person or online lessons.

ITALIAN CLASSES FOR CHILDREN

When children are exposed to a new language early, it becomes easier for them to grasp it and also develop valuable skills such as longer concentration spans, problem-solving abilities, and mental flexibility. In order to improve their grammar and writing skills, we offer Monday classes for bilingual children who understand and speak Italian. A fun and interactive approach to learning a new language is also available to non-bilingual children on Thursdays. Class sessions last 60 minutes and take place in a relaxed and friendly environment in Cork. 

Our classes are based on an active learning approach tested and approved by the Irish National Council for Curriculum and Assessment after years of promoting the Modern Language Primary School Module in several National Schools around Cork. Our activities focus on using flashcards and songs to help children listen to native speakers and emulate them. Additionally, we encourage the exploration of Italian cultural aspects through games and roleplaying. 

By starting them young, your children can acquire a skill for life that benefits them not only in language learning, but in many other areas as well.
